Even the relaunched Dr. Who – entertaining as it is, has only seen it reuse existing classic Dr. Who enemies as the main protagonists for the series: Daleks, Cybermen, The Master…
I’m shuddering at the thought of “Son’s Army”, a remake of “Dad’s Army” where the sons of the Walmington-on-sea Home Guard form their own modern-day Home Guard to defend against terrorism… It’s bound to be on someone’s desk in the BBC.
