I agree - the silence from the big media players regarding this is curious. The 'Apple can do no wrong' philosophy is frustrating. You can easily find endless reference to minor updates of Apple's products, yet when thousands of people are let down or disappointed you hear not a peep. Why is this? Is it a fear of seeming unfashionable?

Fortunately, at least The Register maintain their traditional level of cynicism and balanced(ish) reporting - for example: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/07/11/iphone_update/

I've got a couple of prime lenses that open up as far as F1.8 which can lead to all kinds of depth of field fun... and also very practical for taking pictures indoors without flash as F1.8 lets in a lot of natural light!

Well, you have made some assumptions.

That was wrong.

I suppose I was being a little too harsh - the bass was terrible through 'King for a Day' - I can't believe how many times I went for an A instead of a C...

The drumming was tremendous though!

Well, you say it was an average performance, but according to the review here:

http://www.surfaceunsigned.co.uk/centralReviews/C150308.html

we were pretty good! Although there was no specific mention made of the rhythm section.... still, the drums and bass are always the most important part of any band, so I assume that a good review implicitly means the drums and bass were good too!

Mein commant ist:

Whilst many of those songs are particularly great, and also the sound of a 3.2 v6 is particularly great, what you really want to be doing is driving your girly car down to an alfa garage and getting a proper 3.2 v6 engine that makes a proper sound. Alright, the new alfa spider doesn't actually go round corners, or over bumps, or in fact anywhere that isn't an aircraft runway, but it'll still sound better than your overblown hairdryer :-)

In terms of music however, i think i'd avoid g'n'r at first due to the likelihood of you burying your new car into a hedge when they get into the hectic second half of Paradise City. Clearly the most appropriate song here (and probably the only song you should ever play in your car) is 'Dude looks like a lady'.
